This Sunday we continue our study of Jesus' words as he travels through Lent to the cross and to resurrection. We will explored the story of Jesus who was invited to dinner at the home of a powerful Pharisee. A sick man with an unknown illness crashes the party. As usual, Jesus uses it as an opportunity to heal not only the identified sick man but others at the party who have the wrong ideas about the Sabbath, honor, and God's kingdom. See you then.

LENT
The congregation is invited to join us for in-person bible study-
Wednesdays @10:00 AM- also offered online using ZOOM.
Thursdays at 6:00 PM.
Sundays @ 11:30 AM.

An additional fully online Lunch Time Bible Study will be offered Wednesdays at noon using ZOOM beginning February, 25th. Sign up for this by emailing pastor.yolanda@fridleyumc.org.
We will be using The Last Supper: Conversations that Led to the Cross by Will Willimon. The cost of the book is $17.99 (paperback) on Amazon and Cokesbury, as a Kindle book on Amazon for $9.99, and eBook on Cokesbury for $11.99. (We will have 2 copies at the church for purchase.)
WEDNESDAY SOUP AND FELLOWSHIP
During Lent we will follow Bible Shaping with a soup meal prepared by Pastor Yolanda. There is no cost, please let Pastor Yolanda know if you will be attending so that there is enough soup, that would be helpful. Contact: Pastor Yolanda.
