Welcome to the Fridley United Methodist Church website. Thank you for making us one of your stops on your search.
As a church we, too, are on a search or quest. There are so many challenges and opportunities in our lives. It is possible to be busy every moment but what we are searching for is to make our moments meaningful. I’d like to tell you that we have all the answers but we don’t. We continue to come together to experience God’s love and care (and frankly God’s challenge) as we seek to live in ways that make a difference for us and for others.
Perhaps what would give you a taste of who we are is the “Three Simple Rules” that John Wesley (the founder of Methodism) gave for living. We discover these rules throughout Scripture and they were lived and taught by Jesus Christ. They are: first, do no harm, second love your neighbor, and third (the basis for all) love God.
These three simple rules make living a challenge and a joy. If you are searching for a place where others are trying to live healthier and more meaningful lives perhaps we might be the place for you. We’re not perfect. We are trying, however, to follow the example and teaching of Jesus and relying on the forgiveness of God to help us begin anew when we get off course.
There is always room for others. Check us out on this site and in person. You’re always welcome, just as you are. It’s exciting to see what we can become together as we follow Christ.
