SMALL GROUP SIZES, LOW CHILD to TEACHER RATIOS
Email: bigheartsandlittlehands@juno.com
Rainbow is licensed for 79 children in 6 classrooms. Our group sizes range from 4 infants to 10 for preschool children. We have a before and after school program for kindergarten through 4th grade.
Our small group sizes allow our teachers to give lots of individualized attention to your child. We are proud of the fact that we offer lower child to teacher ratios than state licensing requires and are able to develop relationships with parents and families here each year!
EXPERIENCED STAFF
A preschool and daycare is only as good as the people who work there. We are pleased that many members of our staff have been with us for over eight years, some as long as ten or more years. All our teachers are state certified and experienced in early child or education/social work. Four assistants and aides are mentored by our teachers and gain valuable experience learning how to give the best care possible to your children. We offer competitive salaries, health benefits, and vacation benefits for our full time employees. We value the commitment our staff makes to Rainbow School and we reward them for it.
CONVENIENT
We are open from 6:30am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks are prepared and served to your children each day. Conveniently located on Mississippi Street between University Avenue and Central Avenue, we are close to many area businesses, including Medtronic and Cummins. We are located in the Fridley School District #14; the district provides transportation and crossing guard assistance for our school age children to and from school.
FAMILY ORIENTED AND FUN!
Young children need the comfort of close, "safe" relationships in order to thrive. At Rainbow, we provide a setting in which these relationships can grow between the children and their teachers, and also between our staff and families. We have curriculum that includes fun activities and field trips, designed to help children learn and grow and experience life in a positive, fun way! You're welcome to join us anytime!!
A PARENT'S PEACE OF MIND...
Rainbow School and Childcare Center was established in 1979 as a non-profit community outreach program offered through Fridley United Methodist Church. Throughout the years, hundreds of families have enjoyed the peace of mind that comes when you know your children are safe, having fun, and being loved in a nurturing environment.
